Credit Scores

If you are considering a purchase of a home, or you are thinking now might be a good time to refinance your mortgage… you need to know what your credit score is.

There’s a couple of ways to find out what your score is… you can call us, and let us pre-qualify you for a mortgage.  We have several “models” that let us know what the likely outcome will be if you pay a credit card off, or add more credit.

Another option is to sign up for a Free Credit Score dot com site.  This is NOT free… I know what the song says, but it’s not free.  Generally they are a subscription of some type.  The free credit reports you get from the agencies once a year as part of FACTA do not have scores.
