The maximum income for the Mortgage Tax Credit (MCC) varies based upon the number of people in your household, and the County you are planning to buy a house in (read: they calculate this a little differently). The maximum sales price for the Mortgage Tax Credit is $245,000.
WITHOUT using NC Housing Finance Money – you will need NO down payment for a USDA home loan. The property must be within the USDA “Footprint” and you must meet income limits which are HIGHER than the ones mentioned for NC Housing. You will need a middle credit score above 620.
