The idea is that if you begin shopping for a $175k home because you used an online calculator and figured that’s what you could afford… but some reason you DON’T qualify for that much… you’re never going to find a $150 house that looks like the $175K’s. Let’s go back and re-read that highlighted section. See that “R” word? Realtor? Guys! You could cut your own hair… but why would you? As a buyer, a real estate agent does not COST you anything!
